Join us for a two-day Motivational Interviewing (MI) Training led by Dr. Greg Emanuelson, a counselor, educator, and clinician with more than 30 years of experience in trauma, mental health, and substance use. Designed for mental health professionals, social workers, and professionals from partner organizations, this interactive training will equip participants with practical, evidence-based communication skills that help individuals discover their own motivation for meaningful, lasting change.
CEUs will be available for eligible participants, and coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided each day.
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, person-centered approach that empowers people by exploring their own reasons for change rather than directing or persuading them. Through engaging instruction and hands-on practice, participants will learn how to build stronger relationships, foster meaningful conversations, and confidently apply MI techniques in their work with clients, patients, and families.
The training will be held August 20 and September 14, with doors opening at 8:45 a.m. and sessions running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
During registration, attendees can request CEUs and indicate any dietary accommodations, including gluten-free or dairy-free meal options.
We hope to see you there!
